Default SRS Light Intermittent Headlights Dont work at all.

Hi all, I have a 1994 2.3 litre T5.

About a week ago the SRS warning light started to flash off and on, Im disabled sop pull the seat back every time I get out of the car, and pull it forward when in, been told that, that could of caused that light to come on and off.

However, I came to My car last night, turned the light switch to on or half dip and nothing happens, the lights do not come on at all, the hazards work, the main beam works, but no dip or headlights, it has total failure. Anyone got any more education that Me on ythis, or come across the same problem?

Thanks Dave.

Hi Dave,

From reading similar threads it could be your ignition switch has had it, search the forums, you'll see quite a few folks have had wierd probs like yours when the ig. switch was playing up.

Just a thought anyhow,

Cheers.

cheers for the advice, had a set of them as screw drivers turned out very handy foor those T-15's at the front

got the plastic covering off and the black plastic ' portion ' I think it is called here, the 2 screws off and refitted it with the new ig switch. Put it all back together and wham........the whole display with the clock came up and a red light just beneath it, stayed on for about 30 secionds and then everything went dead.

Took it out and tried the old one again same scenario, nothing works now so I've made an error somewhere, unnsure if its a large or small one, took the battery off and then left it for 5 minutes, put it back on and the windsreen wiper moves very very very slowly a few inches as if the battery is dead, but infact the battery has a full charge so I'm kind of lost now.

Got a guy coming round later to look at it, anyone any ideas what error I've made?

sorry to be a pain

thanks alot for the advice

Dave.
