Having never owned a Supercar or Hypercar, I've never considered any car to be especially powerfull and that includes my 5.7 litre Pontiac Trans Am.
The main reason for this is, that I've always owned a Superbike too, just for the sunny days. A machine that is capable of going from standstill to 100mph and back to a standstill, in less time than most cars can get to 60mph... |

And it was a 1999 T plated 'busa, black & grey, original release. I spent quite a bit on it, but the Power Commander was the best buy... Oh, and those figures were WITHOUT the Quill T3 cans I added, which (allegedly) add up to 19BHP....

Any powerful car I have owned feels slower after a while. I have also come to the following conclusions:
Some cars make you drive fast whereas some make you want to take it easy (regardless of how fast the cars actually are). I like the second sort. Some cars feel and appear much more powerful than they really are and vice-versa Big cars always feel slower than small ones. Loud cars feel slower than quiet ones It is all relative. When I was young, main road hills such as Poll Hill on the A21 were major obsticles. Lorries went up at less than walking speed, cars did well if they managed it in 2nd gear, some boiled, etc. Nowdays most cars would need another couple of mm more throttle in 5th, and that's it. I often wonder what my dad would have thought of driving my S80 D5, I think he would think it was like a racing car!
