Default ECU part number??

Hi
I know there has been alot of information on ECU part numbers on here but I still havent got the answer I need really.
This code I took from the ECU via a diagnostic computer, the part number for this Bosch unit is 9146961.
Ive looked on the Bosch web site but I can not find out on there.
Its a manual 850 R and is supposed to have a Rica 310 chip, I just want to know for sure what is in my car.
Thanks

Have you tried contacting either Volvo or RICA or whoever fitted the chip

Good luck with that, AFAIK they have legendary crap customer service.

Realistically I guess the only way to know whats in there is to open the ECU and look at the chip itself - as a RICA tune involves replacing a chip on the board rather than reflashing it.

I don't know what you would learn by opening it though, and I'm not sure I would bother.

Compare it to a standard car, or swap your ecu temporarily with a standard one - you'll soon know if it's been remapped.
