10 ECC codes and no heat!
Hello
I am trying to repair my heater as I can't control it. Here are the symptons: -Unable to control the airflow in any direction from the centre dial. -Can control the temperature on both side -Can control the fan speed I have finally learnt how to read the obd II codes from the ECC system and I have these: 1-3-2 Drivers/side air duct temp sensor open circuit or shorted to 12v 1-3-4 Pass/side air duct temp sensor open or shorted to 12v 2-3-1 Ventilation damper motor position sensor open circuit or shorted to 12v 2-3-2 Ventilation damper motor position sensor shorted to earth 2-3-3 Floor/defrost damper motor postn sensor open circuit or shorted to 12v 3-2-1 Floor/defrost damper position motor sensor shorted to earth 4-1-1 Blower fan seized or drawing excessive current (changed motor) 4-1-4 Drivers/side interior temp sensor inlet fan seized 4-1-7 Pass/side interior temp sensor inlet fan seized 4-1-8 No control signal to blower fan power stage (replaced and fan works) I have changed the fan motor and resistor and it works great, the fans behind the upper handles seem to spin ok. How do I resolve the vent dampers and floor/defrost dampers? Why are the giving codes? Thanks, Matthew

Okay, I deleted the codes and have the following 3 returning:
2-3-2 Ventilation damper position motor shorted to earth 2-3-3 Floor/defrost damper position motor open circuit or shorted to 12v 4-1-4 Drivers side interior fan motor seized. I took out the fan above the grab handle and it seems to work I am not sure why it keeps leaving a code. Also, I have taken the drivers side motor that controls the floor flap out and the lug on the flap is broken. Does this mean taking the whole heater and dash out to replace the flap? Matt
