I've got a '96 V40 and I totally flattened the battery when locked using the fob (left interior lights on
![]() The fob still appears to be working (when I press either button the hazards lights change from flashing quickly to on for ~2 seconds), I tried a couple of suggestions I found but nothing has worked yet. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks, Dan |

Managed to get this sorted
![]() Took battery earth cable off, shorted earth cable to live, turned ignition to position II, swapped the alarm box back to original item, doors closed, bonnet open, and re-connected earth. Everything was fine and back to normal!! Fob works fine and engine starts fine. Hard to pinpoint exactly what solved it, either swapping the 'keyless entry' (RCL) module or connecting up an unit alarm in a disarmed state that somehow reset the other alarm components. Or I could have just got the correct procedure when trying out the alarm bits this time and not in the past! Hope this helps somebody! Dan. |

Turned out to be a faulty keyless entry module.
