Cool Am I mad in considering this?

Hi Folks,

I'm really tempted with this classic V70 diesel auto to replace my current 940.

I know it's expensive, but how expensive?........

http://www.carsireland.ie/detail.php...%26amp%3Bg%3D0

There's is bit of me that's drooling uncontrollably over it, it's green, it's auto, it's a diesel, got all the bells and whistles.

There is also a bit of me that's telling me to walk away as he's taking the p**s.

It's on UK plates, so for the price he'll register it in Ireland, pay the Vehicle Vegistration Tax (€640) and get a full 2 year NCT on it. It has no tax, so that would be a €940 bill as well.

Anyone any idea what a good V70 diesel auto can be picked up for in the UK?

At this price would I be better looking for the newer shape V70 with the hips?

Thank you all in advance,
Cheers,
Rich

Definitely way too expensive.

I bought a 2000 V70 petrol with 69000 miles on it in August last year and paid £2600 for it. The diesels do seem to go for higher prices even with 100k plus on them, but even so I'd be looking to spend no more than £2750.

Over €4k (which at todays rates is about the same in sterling) is WAY over the odds, even for a phase 2 car, which in my humble opinion are not as good as the phase 1s.

By comparison, look at THIS.
