Try Turtlewax Ice polish. It is clear liquid & can be used on all plastic trim as well without leaving annying white residue. See http://www.turtlewaxuk.com/ice/faqs.htm

tried quite a few of those ideas and was unsuccessful with all of them - come to the conclusion that the weathering - sun damage etc will only go by replacing the offending black plastic with new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before you try anything go and wash your black trims and get rid of all that temporary dressing muck your going to put on. Then go on ebay and order a bottle of Plasticare Trim Dye (item number 260549167092). This guy makes it up in bottles. Smells like hammerite paint and applies like shoe polish. The best in the business and I swear by it....

I had this problem on my car. I asked around on DW forum and someone suggested using a rubber. It may sound silly, but it really does work. Then once you have removed the wipe residue from the plastics, coat them in AG Bumper care - http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product...6VQ=EM&Range=1

Carplan do a product called Black Trim Wax,seems to last quite well. Failing that why don't you try some more wax? I used to use black TurtleWax colour magic until the bottle ran out. I always found it pretty good for cleaning glass too as even if you get it on the rubbers it doesn't matter as it's a black wax anyway(the turtlewax stuff) and obviously not on the windscreen.

Use Autoglym fast glass to remove the wax then I use Chemical Guys trim gel on tyres and errrr...trim! Gives a nice natural sheen that last longer than anything else I've used!!
