Default Should I be worried?

Hello again,

I was poking around under the bonnet last week and noticed that the front strut mountings have a crack in the welded joint between the strut and the wing. I'm unsure if "mount" is the correct word to use, I'm talking about the housing under the bonnet where the front mounts are bolted into.

The cracks are only small but they're definately there. My guess is they've been there for years. Has anyone else noticed this?

Do you think a strut brace would help prevent further cracking?

If I get the chance I'll take a pic or two and post them up here.

Thanks all.

Andy
