Volvo 360(B200) - Interference or non interference?
I`ve recently had a cambelt sheer it`s teeth on this motor & would like to know if the engine is a non interference or an interference design. I`m hoping that the engine hasn`t been damaged as the belt failed at relatively low revs & loading.
Thanx in advance... |

RE: Volvo 360(B200) - Interference or non interference?
Is it a B200K, or a B200E, and which year?
I know a B200 fitted with a K cam (never standard)...ie: my car now...is interferance. I can't remember whether or not we decided the old (standard) setup was, but I guess so...I've only gained 2-3mm of valve lift, and it touches quite easily. cheers James

RE: Volvo 360(B200) - Interference or non interference?
It`s a B200 E. The fuel injected model. I`ve since found out that this engine is actually an interference design so valve damage can occur, however I`ve just taken the gamble & replaced thew cambelt anyway. The engine starts & runs fine so I guess I was lucky on this one.
Thanks for your help anyway... |
