Default Wrong fluid

Help!

I've put Comma AQ3 fluid which is Dexron III in my 2000 V70 AW55 5 speed auto gearbox and have now seen posts strongly advising against this. I've drained 3 litres from the box over a couple of recent weekends and replaced with the AQ3.

All seems fine but can anybody tell me what the likely consequences are and, if I replace the AQ3 with the correct fluid asap, will all be OK?

Thanks

Martin

I would think it will be OK if you replace the fluid asap, I'll suggest you need to flush it rather than just drain and refill.

A search of the 2000> forum will provide details of the flushing method and the Vauxhall part No. of the correct fluid.

Thanks Chris. I'm hoping my local Volvo specialist is open tomorrow and let him deal with it as soon as he can. Must admit I didn't think to look at the 2000> posts for info so I'll do that.

Thanks again.
