Default Anyone got a Forge BOV on their S40 T5?

Tried to get a garage to Fit a Forge BOV onto my car.

They said it wouldn't fit - and that I should get a stock replacement.

For various reasons I decided to take my car elsewhere as they were at it with the length of the job (everywhere else takes 2 hours)

I'm in the process of finding out if the recirculating BOV in question actually fits on my car.

Here's the link to the product:

http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/con...oduct=FMDVK04D

So has anyone else actually got this Forge recirculating BOV fitted to their S40/V50 T5?

Cheers Ben

Hi, as you probably know you can't fit a dump valve to anything post Motronic (ME7 onwards: MY 1999) without issues. Have a look at the Kalmar Union website:http://kalmar-union.com/parts/volvo-...70_c70-engine/

Why do you want to fit the Forge recirculating BOV?

I should have been more specific - It's a recirculating Dump Valve, so it does exactly the same as the stock item.

Reason for changing - It's known as a weak point on these engines, and can leak boost if the valve isn't 100% healthy - Mine doesn't seem to be blowing off properly anymore (getting quite a lot of wastegate chatter.) so it may not be functioning correctly or holding the boost properly.

So I'm putting on the Forge unit, as lots of Americans on Swedespeed say it's a nice little upgrade in terms of sound and it helps turbo spool up and holding boost pressure a little - If i can get to the bottom of the fitment.

I suspect the garage was just rubbish - but I'll be getting a stock AND forge item to compare them and see if the Forge should fit - my car is mechanically the same as the Focus ST so it should go on as loads of people with Focuses have them on.

I'm just looking for someone who already has one fitted in the UK - so I'll know for sure it should fit then.
