RE: CARS BACK
Adam, first of all i owe you an apology, i didn't read the thread properly and didn't realise that adieu's car had been remapped before it had the hybrid turbo fitted, so naturally it would need remapped again.
however i still feel that transmission losses of 100bhp+ are dubious, but if those are your findings then fair enough. It doesn't half seem a shame that paying for a 310bhp upgrade would in reality still result in the car making less power at the wheels than my car does with a £40 mbc. anyway, over and out. jacq. |

RE: CARS BACK
Jacq,
100 bhp + losses are only really on the R models, but 80-90 bhp losses are quite common on the autos. They're not just my findings - quite a few people have called me with a stock auto T5 shocked that they are only getting 150 bhp at the wheels from their 250 bhp T5 on other dynos. Adam. |

Adam:
>The new S60/V70R GT can lose a massive 120 bhp!!!!!!! No >joke. I was just re-reading this earlier and thought (and chuckled) to myself...on the face of it I'd not actually be able to turn the wheels with my current engine and that drivetrain! Happy days! cheers James

RE: CARS BACK
Course you would, but at 7000 rpm (which is where this drag occurs) you would have nothing else left to propel you forward!

RE: CARS BACK
Haha, sounds familiar! If it had the same effect at 5500rpm, I'd believe I have one of these drivetrains after all :)
cheers James
