Oxygen Sensor
Hi All.
I require a front Oxygen Sensor (Volvo part Number 9202309) for my 1999 S80 2.4 (170BHP) auto. A possible alternative might be volvo part number 9497252 (01-02) Can anyone help new / used with decent prices ??? cheers Joe. 07958762766. |

Search on eBay for the shop POWERSPARKS. He sells Bosch sensors which is in many cases what Volvo will sell you.

Hi there,
Thanks for that......I have tried them ...they don't do any for the non turbo 2.4. If anyone can give me the bosch replacement number, I will search for that as well. cheers anyway...anyone else with suggestions cos i don't want to play parts bingo with my dealer. I.E emissions light on dealer says could be a number of things, wants to start changing bits until he finds the correct one. At MY expence obviosly. joe. |

Try the bosch website. The complete catalgue of sensors can be downloaded, at least you will know if its a Bosch part and what the number is.

Hi everybody, what's the consensus on non-genuine sensors, my 2.4 non-turbo V70 in need and I gather a tad under £200 for genuine Volvo sensor... ouch!
I'm told pattern ones don't last very log and can cause problems with ECU/warning lights etc... Thanks Ben |

I had mine changed: advice was to get a genuine part (Denso in my case). Tim. |

Many thanks Tim, lots of good info to follow up. Mine seems to be Denso, talking to local indie specialist but still £200, funny thing is getting best mpg so far, 35 that is. Understanding is that heating element gone so once up to temp sensor works fine... mad!
Cheers, Ben |

O2 Sensor 9202309
As you know, most of the prices new are nearly £200, although you can get one a bit cheaper from the US.
I have just picked one up from a scrapyard for £15 + VAT - looks in good condition and works a treat. £9 for a Draper tool (Volvo one is probably better, but Jeffrey could not find it). £28 for the whole job, so very pleased. You could try your local scrapyard or Aldershot Car Spares 0n 01252 721969 (www.aldershotcarspares.com). I had to wait around for half an hour while someone went to unscrew one. I don't think that they are particularly knowledgeable about the costs of some of the sensors and I suspect that £15 is the standard charge. If you do try them, specify the front sensor and of course the Denso number. Graham |
