I actually posted in your breaking thread. It depends on the type of sensor. There was a change in '98 on the S70 I think. Is yours the one where the sensor and wire runs to a plug in the engine bay or is there a plug on top of the sensor itself. I put a link in your thread which shows the different types.

Maybe out of the price range but the stealers will do one for about £47 (with a bit of volvo club discount). Just replaced one on my 99 v70 too. It was the type that has the long wire that goes into the engine bay. V or S should be the same providing they are the same year of car.

Did you have to get your ABS light reset after you replaced the sensor?

if the ABS light is on then yes probably, I found with mine as it was an intermittent fault the ABS light went out after a while. There will still be a code logged somewhere though. As long as you get it reset before the next MOT you'll be ok. IF your really lucky a local dealer or garage may even reset it for free! it does only take a couple of mins...

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I managed to get 2 from my local scrappies for £20 during the week. Just need to get my ABS light turned off for my MOT now.
