Default V70 2001 Door / Window lock Problem

Hi, I have a V70 T5 with a door lock problem.

The central locking on the FOB operates all doors normally except the driver door, this needs to be locked and unlocked with the key.

Also the switch pack only operates the driver window and the driver door mirror, it will not operate any of the passenger windows or the pasenger mirror - The passenger windows operate normally from their own switch in the door.

I have replaced the switch pack (second hand) in the driver door only to have exactly the same problem.

Any ideas ?

Just in case any body reads this.....

The fault was due to a faulty door switch pack - which can NOT be replaced bya second hand one from a scrap yard.

It is a part which is programmed into the ECU bt the dealer.... I have an independant confirn that the switch pack from a scrap yard can not be re-programmed.

You buy a new part from the dealer then it has o be programmed through vadis.

Buyer beware of second hand parts.....

p.s. I now have two switch packs that are useless - anybody need one :-)

I have the same problem with mine, volvo are quoting about £350 to resolve it. It is really bad on mine, can't get into the passenger door now windows won't open and I think draing battery.

Very dissappointed that something so simple can cause so many problems and cost so much money.

Does anyone know if there is a alternative?

I might be able to help with this. My daughter's car has the same prob but it appears from what I've read on another post that if the part number on your original DDM exactly matches the second-hand replacement, you might be in luck as the existing progamming will accept it. If you still haven't repaired yours, I have a reqest for part numbers out to four vendors. I would also be interested in your part numbers if they don't work on yours as if I get a match I could make you an offer. When I get the part numbers from the other vendors, I will post them here if they don't match mine incase anyone else can match any.
