Hi,
I wrote the following for 2010 S80 front door panel removal, but I would assume the back would be the same:

Prise off the triangular door mirror cover (easier with window down).
Just under the armrest/handle there is a small plastic cover, prise off using a plastic weather strip tool or similar, remove the two torques screws underneath, then carefully using the weather strip tool slide it in the bottom edge and halfway up each side ease the retaining clips away, apparently they can be quite hard but mine came away easily, the panel should be free at the bottom, lift slowly upwards to release from the top rail (were it meets the window) taking care not to pull the wires behind, reach behind and disconnect each plug (if I remember there was about four of them) remember which is which but I think they are all different so you shouldn't be able to mix the up, the door release just unclips (look how it clips in for when you come to refitting) and then the panel should be free.

Refitting you may have to juggle it a bit to get it into the top rail, taking care to ensure the locking button in place, refit plugs and door release, then the clips around the bottom and edge just snap back on with bang from the heal of you hand.
When I asked at the dealer they told me the clips around the bottom were different from what I found so not sure if they have changed them if yours is an older model, if so they need a little more pulling to release, if you brake any, the are easily obtained from dealer for peanuts.

Reading what I have put looks more complicated than it is, so not sure if I have explained it very well.

Regards
Steve
