Hi Ian and other XC90 Owner-drivers
It was great seeing you last weekend and seeing some different cars attempting our 4x4 off-road course. (from the normal Landys and Jeeps) I must admit you were the talk of the camp attempting the course and making it without too much hastle, and not getting stuck. We even had one lad who turned up in a Subaru Impretza and wondered why we refused him entry to the course, lol. (Stage One would have killed his car) I have read through your comments and would like to thank you all for putting up with us over the weekend and the warm comments to us at the Scrutineering point and Marshalling stages. When more photos come available and videos I will link to them on here, hope to see you next year in force ;-) BRING ON ABINGDON 2011 ;-) If you need any further information about anything or even setting up a club stand next year then drop me a line, would be good to see a field of XC90s and camping over the long weekend. NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK Regards Simon |

I can confirm that the Volvo system does work like diff locks as When i slid into a ditch during the tow out my car had the front wheel in the air and it still drove out.
If you search on YouTube for osons4x4 they have some good vids showing what the xc90 can do even on it's standard tyres. There is also one which shows the traction system working well. |
