Geartronic reliability on D5 163bhp with remap
I'm thinking of remapping a D5 163bhp XC90 to around 200bhp, with around 450Nm of torque. However, all the data I can find on the 5 speed Geartronic box is that it will only handle about 350Nm.
Does anyone have any experience of the 5 speed Geartronic and enough to know if it will withstand remapping? Cheers |

The 185 engine produces 400, and you can have a volvo approved remap take it to 480. The question is whether that is the same gearbox thats in the 163bhp unit.

It cannot be the same box can it? I thought the 185bhp engine had a 6 speed auto (the 163bhp has a 5 speed auto).
