Smile Thanks

Many thanks for all your help and advice without which I would not have bothered checking everything closely but would have just assumed that because they worked there was a fault somewhere else.

I did check closely, cleaned, secure lugs, etc but with no change so I checked again and I had made the mistake of having a 21w correctly on one side but a 21/5 on the other!!! Changed them so as both were just 21's and the problem disappeared. My own fault not the car but without your advice I probably wouldn't have checked so closely.

Spouse can now stay in the warm!

The bulb sensor light has driven me crazy for years. I had to replace a brake light last week, and it's been having a mind of its own again ever since. This morning, it came on when I started the engine. With no lights on at all, not even brake lights. It went out when I put on the brakes the first time. I know it's just dirty/bad connections, but it's really irritating that I have to clean all the bulb connectors in the entire car every time I replace a bulb. I also drove around with one brake light out for almost 2 weeks because I don't trust it and it took me that long to realize I actually had a light out. What a novel concept.

Hi,

You are better off replacing your bulbs in pairs and also better off getting a decent quality bulb to start with.

Think I have replace one pair of bulbs in 3 years.
