Default 940 rear lights

Quick question

As a very temporary thing, I need to show a red light on OSRear( lens broken )

I have in mind a) a red bulb (reasonable price on EBay from a Landrover supplier or b) painting the working bulb with red something glass paint/nailvarnish or ???

Out of interest a single red standard bulb in Halfords is £10.99 !!! absolute rip off as is a basic stick on drivers door mirror £13.99 !!

Hi,

You should be able to get some red lens repair tape, no?

Yes! Get them on the bay:

I use a translucent paint made by Tamaya bought from a model or hobby shop. They do a red and also an orange, cost about £1 a jar last time I bought some. Used it on my indicator bulbs when I got a friendly warning at MOT time that the paint had flaked off them. A jar will do loads, I've got about 8-9 spares now.

Pete.

A red plasic bag taped on or similar might be better as it will stop moisture getting near the bulb and electrical contacts.
