Rear Footwells
Hi People...
After spending a good afternoon cleaning, i removed the floormats from the back of the car. Upon removal, i noticed the rear passenger footwell carpet was soaked. Obviously this is something i really want to solve, so i was wondering if anybody had had a similar problem in their 440/460's? A friend had a similar problem 3 or 4 years back, but the car was sold before the problem was solved. Any help much appreciated... Dan M P.s..and all the windows were closed whilst cleaning, and it wasn't a drink bottle or anything that i'd left in the car.

RE: Rear Footwells
Dear Dan M
I had problems some years ago with my 440GL. The water came in around the rear light, ran along the boot floor and down into the rear footwell. My solution was to seal around the lights with some silicone bath sealant. No more problems. I have a 440si now. no similar problems - but I haven't removed the rear lights yet best of luck George |

RE: Rear Footwells
Hi George...
Thanks for the reply-i managed to sort the problem a while ago, using the exact same method. When i stripped my interior, i found the water had taken the exact same path as it did in yours. There have been no problems since (touchwood!). :) Cheers again, Dan M
