Just for info, I've fitted mine to my 2wd T5, only major mods were to move the exhast hanging bracket - luckily I have a repair kit thing made by volvo so that just slid further up the pipe, and two hole to be drilled for the really long bolts that come up into the inside of the car not sure if these are standard but the one I took it off had them so I'm going to fit them to mine too.

Just note that the towball is a special height for the XC model and will probably be too low for a non XC car. Ok for small trailers though I suppose.

I had a 2000MY V70XC (before they became XC70s) and had a real job to get a towbar for it. In the end I had to actually buy one from the Volvo spares dept. It was a Brink bar but I had spoken to Brink in Holland and Volvo vetoed trade sales of the bar apparently. All this owing to the raised ride height of the V70XC
