Default Twin Webbers or Dellortos on a B18

I'm currently rebuilding the B18 for my '68 121, to a fruity spec, currently with twin SUs with TR needles, gasflowed head and manifolds, skimmed head to 10:1, K camshaft, uprated oil pump and steel timing gears.
Have any of you guys done a twin webber or dellorto conversion? I was wondering if its worth the bother for a fast road spec and what size carbs, jets etc. would be needed, 40s, 45s, 48s or whatever. Maybe other mods are needed before this is considered? The head has standard B18 valves, with hardened exhaust seats for unleaded.

any tips will be a great help!

You will see a benefit by fitting twin webbers or dellortos. Dellortos give the better fuel consumption than webbers. To give the best results I would suggest fitting bigger valves to see full benefits. With your current set up I would recomend a pair of 40s, if it was a B20 then 45s are best and if extemly tuned 48s. On the subject of unleaded the seats are not that important its the valve guides which suffer wear in these engines, the best solution is to fit alu-silicon-bronze valve guides. If you wish to discuss this further then give me a call on 01407 832 290. I can obtain inlet manifolds for you.
I have also started my own brand of poly bushes.
