Default 940 Glass antenna

The Glass antenna on my 940 is CRAP! Medium wave and long wave radio is non existent, FM is ok, but there were areas that I knew I could pick up a good signal in other vehicles, particularly my 760. That had an electric antenna. Can I retrofit the antenna? Theres a blanking plug on the pillar.
I checked the antenna amplifier, It works, but its just crap...

Cool

Could be corrosion or a suspect connection in the plug that runs the built in window aerial, or even damage to the cable itself perhaps? Mine is great and picks up everything.

But it would be easy to just fit an aerial, connect it to the aerial lead that runs through to the base of the n/s rear window under the window aerial, with proper connectors of course, and that's you sorted. If the cable's damaged, then run it right through the car under the carpets, and up to the radio.
