Ah, Ford Capri 3.0GT, first released around 1972, fantastic V6 Essex engine and awsome performance for the time. Nice in red with the power bulge on the bonnet.

This may re-ignite old rivalries of the Ford v GM type but I had a Cavvy Coupe & then a Manta GTE, the Cavvy (2.0 carb) could keep up with a 2.0 Capri while the Manta (2.0 injection) would blow it into the weeds.
Happy days b4 speed cameras, Brum to Southampton at 2 in the morning at a ton plus on the m40.........Sigh

Sad to say that in those far off days I was belting around in a VX4/90 FD - that seemed very powerful and fast, at least it was compared to the other cars around, yet if I recall correctly this superfast car was only around 85 BHP!!!
