960 Auto engine change

Help. Have seized 1997 3.0 litre 24v engine. I am having a hard time finding a replacement 3.0ltr engine; can the 3.0 be replaced by the 2.5ltr? Will it fit onto gearbox; engine mounts and are the electrics compatible (will timing have to be changed?)

Can't help you with the engine swap I'm afraid, but you might want to ask the folk on either http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index....2006;model=900 or http://forums.turbobricks.com/ - the turbobricks forum in particular specialise in engine swaps and performance tuning in general.
