Smile My washed 850 T5 and V70

Hi,

Here's my black T5 after a nice wash, polish and wax. Can't see the scratches from a distance.lol! That's a job for later!
Had a suspension upgrade to 850R status planned last weekend. Many thanks to one of our friends off T5D5 who did the rears..Nivo's.., the front end was sabotaged by the plonks who recently fitted 2 Falken 912's and overtightened!!! Locking nut shattered so it's to MRG thursday to change all nuts, couple of other small jobs, and a look around Chipp!
Saturday is finish the suspension, change cone filter back to normal airbox/filter, strutbrace, and remove a blanking plate from the place where the recirc. valve fits. Causing a real thump on kickdown and the boost running to the end of the white zone!
So, careful drive at present! Suspension so much better already. Some toss had put Gmax springs without upgrading the shocks! Will be all 850R components. Also got rid of 2 front Pirelli Runflats when I had the front Falken's done..Why were they on there?
T5 looking good and my V70 is sweet. Just the ATF change!

Thanks guys. Sorry for not coming back quickly. Yes, Gareth and Mac. Both really nice cars. The T5 has had it's jobs done now and no explosive turbo. Running boost where it should be. It was off the white before!! Savagely fast but obviously not where it should have been. Still very quick though!
Had aliignment done and there's still a fair bit of vibration through the steering at most speeds, obviously on our duff roads, so still got to sort that. Don't think it's just the balancing! No more work till that's resolved.

The V is just going so well...touch wood...love the colour and few nasty marks on it. Just the tired box to do..still to do full flush and see if that helps.
Had aa good look under when the alignment was done on the V and the guy said it was in the best condition he'd seen for a V of that age, so no nasty shocks ahead hopefully. It's only got 88k now so it will probably outlive me.lol!

Thanks again for the words, guys, and apologies for not replying sooner.

Cheers,

Jon

Thanks, Cam. I get a buzz out of both of them. The V is just so comfortable and is a complete carry-all with no real issues. I thought the exhaust was boomy, but thatt's the way it is! It's been checked, it's standard fit and no holes so no worries.
The T is is just lovely...intoxicating acceleration and it has the heaviest steering feel, which I've always liked. I don't get up above 75/80 and tyre pressures aare 32 front/31 rear which seems to keep that feel. Any use a higher psi rate than that? I'm not carrying anything in the T, apart from me!

Cheers,

Jon
