They are late 740 rear lights. Like Mike1967 had on his car. I would guess theyve been retro-fitted to this earlier model.

Thats exactly what I did to my '88 740 - bought Mike's old cloudy ones when he found a new set and polished them up. Just had to change wiring connectors and cut a bit of the back valance away. Look loads better than standard 740 lights if you ask me.
