  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.

Default Cigarette lighter

Hi All.

Does anyone know how to remove the cigarette lighter unit from my S40 Sport..It's next to the gear-stick..on centre consol..rgds Steve

Not sure how you remove it but a word of warning if you do. The diagnostics are on the same circuit as the lighter and if you short anything out, it blows the circuit. End result, no stored codes and no history of how the car has been running come the next service.... I know as years ago my mobile phone charger shorted against the seat frame...!

Thanks for the warning...I can get to the unit by removing the gear stick cover,,and unplugging the cigarette lighter,therefore not risking any short circuits,i need to know how to remove from gear stick cover,once unplugged from power supply..rgds Steve
