broken glow plug removal
any ideas?
mines snapped but left the centre core in so i cant get my stud extractor in to remove it. Last edited by sec1223; Nov 24th, 2010 at 11:32. |

If its not now leaking I would be tempted to leave it alone , your engine will start fine with the remaining four glow plugs . I wouldnt fancy trying to remove it with a stud extractor , knowing my luck I would end up having to remove the cylinder head after drilling too far into whats left of the glow plug .

my son has a zafira and he snapped one 3 years ago and the car still starts with no problems as berrnard says you should be okay with four.

same thing happened me with a nissan almera 2.0 diesel. oul pig wouldnt start on 4 - or at least started very badly on 4 the battery eventually screwed itself too - head had to come off - cost me 550 to get right - ended up haveing to drive her another 12 months to get my money back!!
