my v40 seems to run at half power 50% of the time help!
just got my v40 about a 2 weeks ago, all was fine went through an mot and was running fine.
then as i have a long journey to do at the weekend i thought id get it serviced, in the service he metioned it be an idea to change the timing belt so that will get done next month but my real concern is that it ran fine for the week and a half before service and the afternoon after it just started having this problem. basicaly the car starts and then shudders like it wants to stall, you can drive it but it wont go above 2500rpm apart from in first and will go no quicker than 35mph, no lights are up on the dash bar the service light which my garage couldnt reset when they did the service. when it runs normally it runs smoothly all the way up to motorway speed, im gonna contact the garage today if possible and see if they have forgot to put something back on ie a sensor. but if you guys have ever had this or have some ideas id be gratefull, it a 2.0l non turbo 1999 estate. thanks andy |
