1996 440 1.8i SE Rear Fog Lights Query
I am a new Volvo owner and have just had to change a faulty stop light bulb and in doing so noticed that only the offside rear fog light has a bulb fitted, is this normal or should both the offside and nearside have rear fog lights working? (it has only just passed an MOT)
Thanks for your help PLK |

Rear Fogs
Hi...there's only one on mine, its meant to be like that. If you check the bulbholder, you'll find there's a small metal strip missing so it wouldn't light if you put a bulb in it. I remember reading somewhere that its pyschologically safer to have only one rear fog light!! Don't ask me why!!

Both my 440si's have 2 rear fogs, asked a friend that works for volvo and he says that only the higher range models had 2 and the more basic ones only have 1.
Have a look around a scrappies and you'll probably be able to pick one up for a couple of quid
