  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default wiper intermittant prob

please could anyone help, my wipers don't work on the intermittant setting, I assume its the relay but I don't know which one it is. thanks

If its the same layout as a 1997 S70 then the relay for the wipers is up under the dash, accessable from drivers footwell.
Awkward to get to.
There will be a few relays there but I can't remember which is the wipers one sorry.

it will have numbers on it and i think iirc its number 90

I changed mine recently and the one I took out is red, and I replaced it with the VW one which gives you the extra feature of a variable intermittent wipe, which is excellent. I wish I had done it years ago, and it only cost about £20 and took a few minutes, there is a lot of info on here about the swap, and there is a previous posting from me, when I swapped mine. Its well worth doing especially as you are going to replace it anyway.

I did this too, and have done to most cars I've owned that didn't have an adjustable timer.
Worth a quick search on ebay as several sellers sell new/allmost new vw relays for about £5.
