Default Squealing on full lock

Hi

My 54 plate S40 T5 has developed a "squealing" noise when on full lock - parking and tight turns. I cannot hear anything under normal straight line breaking so don't think it is the breaks.

I am going to put it into the local dealer but was wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be?

i know on 850's there are little plastic blocls on the lower arms to stop the wheels rubbing on anything on full lock & these can get dry, might be worth looking in the same area & greasing them up

Check fluid level and belt tension, they can cause what you describe.

If that was a possibility I would be very worried as the car has only been on the road for 6 weeks and only covered 1,500 miles! - I assume that you are talking about power steering fluid levels?
