OBD Software for Volvos

Hello All
does anyone know or have any experience on what OBD software should/would work well with diagnosing why I have an "Engine System Service Required" message. I've just had the OBD reader working with Touchscan software but it says there are no problems or codes to report. Any help appreciated.

Do you mean the service reminder (which will come on after 10k miles)? If so, it needs to be re-set but I'm not familiar with the D5 ECU. Some models, such as mine (earlier Tdi) are re-set using the ignition switch and trip reset. Regards.

I think some pressure is good for us, but we all have our limits. Turn up the pressure too high and yes, I will crack.

turn ignition key to position 1.
press and hold trip meter.
switch ignition on keeping the trip meter pressed for 10 seconds.
service indicator will flash.
release button within 5 seconds and an audible signal will sound when reset is complete. hope this helps. RON.
