Default It seems that "electrics" is volvo's nightmare

Just bought a 1997 S40 today, first thing that I noticed when arriving home after hours of driving while collecting the car the right rear light did not switch off when locking the car and , I have to remove the bulb. Does anyone knows a Volvo Independent garage in the area of Croydon or Lambeth. O suggestion as to how to deal with the problem. After driving a BM for years I noticed the difference. In spite of it I did like the S40, it is just so F..... dissapointing to discover this electrical fault

have you by chance left one of the indicators switched on when you switched off the ignition ?
On my other car which is a vw passat you can switch on the left or right parking light by switching on the left or right indicator when the ignition is switched off

also, make sure your light switch is actually in the off position. On mine, if I leave the side lights on when I get out of the car, the o/s lights stay on
