Default Who wants aluminium sill plates?

I am going to see Lockwood in Leeds next week to see about getting measured up for some aliminium sill plates for our XC60.

Is anyone interested if I get them to make a pattern, have just fitted their product to my Fiesta and are very nice quality but I need to show them there is some interest/demand.

Price dont't know yet but Fiesta pair were £22 so should be well under Volvo prices!

BTW these fold around the sill step and protect the whole sill not just the top flat section!

You could put me down as a possible but I would want to see a picture before committing.

How do they fit to the motor (Garage or owner)?

I would presume it's with some sort of sticky tape similar to that used for the rear number plate. I certainly wouldnt drill into the sill.

sounds interesting. something for the valeters to stand on when they clean the roof! if they look good are easy to fix and the price is as low as you think it might be, i may well be interested too.

I fitted the ones to my Fiesta, very simple, two strips of scotch hi tack tape, the only isue is naking sure you trial fit irst and get it right first time!

If you can get to Leeds I am sure hey would fit them but it's really easy.

What I like about this particular company is that they design the plates so that they fit over the lip of the sill and protect the edge from scuffing, plus they are thick guage ally with a nice polished finish and are not going fall off or wear out!

I attach a link to the Fiesta sills I have fitted so U can see what I mean.
