Default Pulsing power under load

I've got what I can only describe as a pulsing power delivery when in 5th or 6th gear and asking for some acceleration. The power starts to build, stops but doesn't get any lower, then builds again, almost feels like a hose collapsing somewhere then releasing again.

I don't think it's the turbo, all seems fine in the lower gears and the clutch is not slipping.

Any ideas greatly appreciated as I'm selling the car to my brother in a few weeks and would rather know it's working fine when I hand it over.
