I just cant think of a connection between dipping the clutch and turning the steering wheel!
I'd check all the suspension components and engine mounts.

i'd ask the 'mechanic' exactly what it was he found to 'sort' and get him to do it properly.

Cool

Could it be low steering fluid? Did your man top it up, and have you got a fluid leak?

Hi

Is the grinding evident on full-lock? Because the steering knuckles contact the 'A' arms and give a bad sound. They can be greased to prevent it.

i had a new engine fitted so maybe the engine mounts do need checking.
no leaks and steering fluid ok.
does not do the noise on full lock.
will get the mechanic to look at it again.
thanks to all for taking the time to help.

Hey gordo, i think i had the same problem with my 850r. You probably just need new bushings. Because i remember everytime i used to turn the steering wheel as far as it could go or a little less it made sort of a scratching
noise. Hope this helps.
