I'm not surprised. Bowling along at 70mph in the last couple of days resulted in far more lane changes than if I were in default barrel down the fast (sorry overtaking) lane mode.

PS What manual was that, I'm a biker too and always looking to learn but don't remember reading that stat in any of my books

Its an American book called more proficient motorcycling.
It's quite good, as long as you look at the diagrams through a mirror !

I have done 10,000km on my XC60 D5 AWD with Auto transmission. Result for mix city/highway driving is 33,6 miles per UK gallon. This is good performance considering highway speeds between 75 – 85 mph.
