Does anyone know any more information about the second hose between the pump and the block?

Does anyone have any information about the smaller diameter hose (about 25mm diam.) from the pump to the block? The second larger diameter hose is 53mm and shows on the volvo parts system. the other one doesn't.

Hi,

No info but you are likely as well to replace it with standard straight 25mm coolant hose given it is a straight pipe.

Hi, I had the water pump replaced today by my loacal garage. It was a quentin & Hazel make (No. QCP2420). Could not find repacements in time for the two hoses at the rear of the pump so reused the old ones. Not my wish, but thae garage is taking the annual leave and could not keep the car. They tried to source the hoses from motor factors but could not find equivalent generic parts. I still plan to renew these hoses at the first opportunity either myself or by the local garage, therefore I am still interested in hearing from anyone who replaced them and where they obtained them from. I know it is possible to get the larger one, but I am hitting a brick wall with the smaller one. Both hoses are straight and no more than 70mm long. The larger one has O/D 55mm and I/D 46mm. The smaller one has O/D 26mm and I/D 20mm. Any infor would be appreciated.

By the way I also got my MOT today and the test was carried out before the pump was replaced, as a leaking pump is only an advisory. Never mind that driving any distance would fry the engine.
