Default p/s/r Seat Belt return spring slow, can it be cleaned?

I've noticed that the psr seatbelt doesn't fully retract but the other 3 do.

I know there's a coiled return spring that pulls the belt back out of the way and wondered whether anyones' ever taken one apart to check whether it's just dirt or suchlike that's making it slow.

The belt is undamaged and it's probably me being picky but I'd like to fix it if possible, without having to replace a perfectly useable seatbelt.

Thanks

give the ends of the drum with the belt on with a good spray of wd40 that should give it a new lease of life
