any weak points on a 1998 V 70?

Hello,

My '98 V70 auto has done 143,000 miles - and I have a few long trips coming up. Are there any 'weak points' with this model that I should maybe look at, now, rather than when something goes wrong en route? She's serviced correctly, has had the cam belt changed, etc. Advice will be much appreciated!

I wouldn't think you would have much to worry about. Make sure you have a spare wheel, and carry some water in case your unlucky enough to get a stone in your radiator. Someone else might have some ideas of something to look out for, but I would say it should be good for the trip!

If the gear box fluid has not been changed I would consider changing it.

May be better to do 2 or 3 partial changes (3.5 litres each) rather than a flush in one go.
