our xc90s seem to be divided into 2 models , the early 165s and the later 185s with a slightly updated body, where does mine fit in ? its a 55 plate , early 06year model with the early body style and 185 , 6 speed auto box

Probs (Like my C70) it'll be a Version 1.5!!!!... Uprated Engine ect but with Phase 1 bodywork.

VADIS tells me my C70 is NOT an ME7 Engine .. BUT IT IS!! When I contacted Volvo (Sweden) they told me mine was the 59th Car to have an ME7 engine & was on the production line with the NON ME7 Cars (i.e. at the FRONT of the line was the NON ME7's) but half way thru the production line they changed over to fitting ME7 engines. the 20 or 30 Cars that got ME7 Engines were NOT listed as such because they were on a Production line of NON ME7 cars.

when the WHOLE Line had ME7 cars THEN they classed that as the ME7 production run.

Yours will have been the same they started fitting the 185 engine during a run of 165 engines so you got "Phase 1 Bodywork & a Phase 2 Engine"

The car got the new engine and 6 months later, the new body style so there are a few like yours. Go on www.honestjohn.co.uk and search for xc90.
