Default Amazon - Air Filter assembly for Single Stromberg

Hello

I'm after a complete air filter box: Derek UK says that the later B20 models had a long intake hose with an attachment that vented through the front slam panel - I'd ideally like one of these. But I'm also interested in a "normal" filter box, as mine is shot to bits and leaks all over the place.

Alternatively if anyone knows of an assembly from a different car that is easily adapted to the single carb Amazon, please let me know.

Cheers,

Andy.

Default Air box

I have the basic bits of a box i.e the base and the cover, but no clips to hold it together and no trunking and valve for the intake. If I remember rightly some just had a convoluted pipe through the front panel and some had a valve to open up a different pipe to a heat shield on the exhaust manifold to pick up warm air in cold weather.

Thanks David. I've bought an NOS filter box from Brookhouse which is of the sealed for 25,000 miles type, and I'm going to fix this up with a long hose when I get chance.

Seeing this new box makes me realise that the filter box that came with the car was also one of the sealed type that had been forced open to allow cartridge-type replacement. This had been done badly, hence the box being broken and warped and not making a seal against the carb. Let's hope the new one performs better.
