Default A quick question - front brake caliper identification

I want to replace the front pads on my volvo and have seen there are a couple of makes fitted.

I didn't have my camera with me when I had some tyres fitted today so I've just taken a quick snap with the wheels in situ and the caliper appears to match the Bendix option rather than the Girling one.

The car is w/o abs, just the old 'press and pray' version.

I've checked the chassis plate but the box I think a 1,2 or 3 should appear in reads differently. The 4th box on the right has " -9 5515" and the one below it is the paint code.

AFIAK there are two Girling disc sizes but only one for the Bendix, am I right on this?

Many thanks all

Here's the pic of my disc and the ref pic from turbobricks.

Bendix callipers. The pads now are DB1169. The 536 are obsolete

Just measure the diameter of the disc. I would do this even knowing the correct part no.

Thanks for that.

Actually, I took the pics into my local spares supplier and he pointed out that the Bendix has 2 places for two anti squeal springs with the Girling having just one so working out which set of pads to purchase isn't difficult.

I'm going to check the wear this weekend, just in case the discs need replacing also (hope not)
