Might be a completely random post as I haven't got an XC60........but could it be that the car thinks it isn't in Park (assuming it's auto) and hence won't release the key?

Problem Solved!
Firstly I didn't specify PCC hence once the engine is running you cannot take out the key fob - it's locked in. And the only way to release it is the gear is in Parking, not the parking brake but the actual AT selector in P mode. As it turned out a small piece of got knows what somehow got into the recess and preventing the gear lever fully into P position hence the vehicle thought the AT was still not in P and wouldn't release it. After I carefully picked it up everything worked as they should. Did called the Vovlo Roadside Assistance, and he told he had similar incient before with XC60 and it wasn't like ours resulting the total dismantling of centre console and AT... |
