Idle and shifting gears
After an extended absence on this forum with all of my previous problems, I have started to use the 164e after it was sitting awhile outside. It got up to 117f during that period. It was running well before it was parked.
Now it starts ok but will not run without really pumping the foot feed. Then after a short time it will hardly idle without dying. Any ideas? Supprisingly there are few mechanics in Phoenix that will work these and the "expert" is semi retired and hard to see. Also, shifting gears is now VERY hard to do, almost impossible at times. Could the transmission linkage have changed just sitting or the rubber support(s)failed? Or should I start a new thread for this? By the way, Cooler today at 106. |
