Volvo 262C ...please save this old girl!!
Name: Gordon White
EmailAddr: gordon_white@hotmai.com Volvo 262 ...please save this old girl ! Good morning/afternoon all! I have a Volvo 262 1979 Restoration project for sale! I love this car and have dry-stored it for over 15years! The car is silver with black leather. 64K and is 99% complete with many parts and panels to complete restoration inclued! Condition wise, Rust and holed Bulkhead, roof pillers, around windscreen, spare wheel well, and back panel and n/s sill, the rest of the car, very good condition. Due to a job change and house move I really can't bring this old girl back to life! It's soooo Sad!! ...thanks for your interest! Auto gearbox ...photos as soon as I can get them on here! ...and loads more info, the car also has a cherished reg number ANN 111B valued quite a bit a few years back! Means nothing to me, so I'd probally sell it myself as I would prefer the original reg number, which was KBU 444V ...at the moment I'm open to offers, but don't want to sell on ebay as fear someone may get reg number off the car and then scrap it ! and after all those years I would be very upset ! I have the V5/ log book which is registered in my name, I mentioned previously 'bulkhead' but should have said 'wiper scuttle panel', the bulkhead is like new ! I have cut off the n/s sill and have a replacement pattern sill which I was going to seam weld in place. All the panel gaps are excellent and the car is very straight ! Corrosion wise, the welding required does sound a little daunting ! ...but honestly, it isn't that bad, any competent welder would find this an enjoyable and easy restoration. thank you for reading this, please spread the word! I have owned and ran over seven Volvo's over the years and luv them! |

hello Gordon
Hello,
you can not delete a thread/posting yourself. This a way to get it done by a moderator -- in the left corner you this alert/triangle. click on it. than you report the post yourself to a moderator. explain in the window what you want and why.and than it is up to the moderator . About navigating around the site -- that just happens. regarding the 262 - what price are you looking for?? regards, ZW |

Hello
thanks for the advise ...as i've said, at the moment i'm open to offers, the reg plate ANN111B was valued around twelve hundred pounds a few years back, so if I can sell the car for around a thousand the new owner could sell on the plate if they wish, after the restoration thus claim back the purchase price and save the car from the breakers!! ...well I thought maybe, it was a good idea ! Rgds Gordon |

the number plate can only be transfered to another car or retention when the car holds a current mot and tax so at the moment its stuck with the car, some pictures of the car would be good so people (and me) can get an idea of condition and wether its worth travelling to look into a worthwhile project
cheers

I should think he only came on here to save his car.He joined august 9th and last activity was on august 18th.
Only ten posts all to do with his car. I'm not knocking him just so you know. He's just trying to save it instead of scrapping it. He has put his email address in his post maybe give that a try.If you find out then please let us all know so we can update this post. Regards Brian. |

If you send me a PM with your email address I will send the pictures to you. I think the car has only done about 50-60,000 miles and one owner from the Aberdeen area. |
