How does a head gasket strip cams?
More lightly a cam belt failure. I would guess 153k wasn't bad for a gasket to last. SC |

It's probably just old age. I had loads of trouble with a Vauxhall engine I have. Quite low mileage but built in 89. When I stripped it down the head and block face wern't too bad but the gasket was just starting to fall apart.
